《反恐精英CS》太平洋游戏网独家专访SpawN：我从来没有退役

Recently he has signed a contract with the famous gaming gear company ZOWIE GEAR, meanwhile, SpawN has confirmed that he would be back to the professional cs scene again. However, the question in our mind has always been "which team will SpawN join if he returns". With that being said, PCgames.com.cn contacted Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed for an exclusive interview. In this interview, he stated that he has never retired, it was only a break during which he has been in really good shape, and we are sure that the well-known nickname will be seen again very soon.....(Thanks to UMX.Xanver for the help)

Hi SpawN, long time no see. Say something to your fans please.
SpawN: Hey! Yeah, its been some time now and I’m happy that I’m back to e-sports.

You have singed a contract with ZOWIE GEAR, what kind of contract is it?
SpawN: Yeah, I just recently signed with ZOWIE GEAR who are incredibly good at what they are doing --- developing gaming gears. And me being a part of ZOWIE GEAR means that I will be developing professional gaming gears together with ZOWIE GEAR. I’ve wanted to do something like this for so long, my job is my hobby right now to be honest. And people may already know that I’ve been apart of the development of some steelseries products also, such as SP.

Let's move to the news about your return making thousands of fans excited, but how have you kept in shape since your retirement from SK Gaming.
SpawN: It’s funny how people think that I retire. Don’t know where they are getting that from. I didn’t retire, I just took a break. I didn’t stop completely, I still play everyday with a lot of good players from Sweden. I’m in good shape when it comes down to playing cs.

Do you practise that often now?
SpawN: Everyday with my friends!

When can we see your name again at big events?
SpawN: Time will tell.

Will you go to SK or Lemondogs? It is rumored that both SK and Lemondogs would like to change something.
SpawN: No. Don’t listen to rumors.

So let us move to some simple questions. You made yourself known to the world at WCG 2003 Grand Final, why were you just a stand-in in SK six years ago?
SpawN: SK had pretty good lineup without me. They had HeatoN, Potti, ahl, fisker and elemeNt. So it was really difficult to get in that 5man lineup. I still had something to prove before they let me play for that 5man lineup. That’s why I was just a stand-in.

Your older brother MeagtoN was also an awesome player at that time, did you feel a little bit sad when you had to leave your brother, the one who had been your teammate for so long?
SpawN: Of course it was. Its was fun playing with him and the other guys from HLO. We were like a big family. Its was really fun back then!

During your CS career, SpawN has become a man from a boy, being more and more mature. So what was your most important achievement during your career?
SpawN: The WCG (2003 Grand Final) in Seoul. That champion gave me the will, confidence and motivation to push even harder.

Many people would like to compare you with Ronaldo of the football field, since it was SpawN who taught them "Playing CS like this does make sense." So do you have your own style or did you learn something from the older legends to form your style?
SpawN: If you are an old school player, then you definitely know who I got my playing style from. My playing style is similar to ScreaMs, I took almost everything from him haha…. I still play just like him now.

Who has the biggest impact on your career, MegatoN, ScreaM or bds?
SpawN: All of them.
Bds for giving me the chance.
ScreaM for teaching me how to play
And of course without my teammates I wouldn’t have achieved this much of success.

There must be a lot of gaming gear companies wanting to work with you, why did you choose ZOWIE GEAR?
SpawN: They know how to produce good products and that’s how I made my decision. With little help from their side and little from my side I know we can develop good stuffs for professional gamers.

What do you think of the current esports scene? Do we still miss anything?
SpawN: Its pretty dead right now but I think we would be more active again if we had more tournaments.
